Still crafting. . .

It has been ages since I've taken the opportunity to blog.

Not much painting or drawing happening -
however, the craft bug continues to bite!

Mostly beads and yarn these days though -
Took the Eclectic Beaded Crocheted Jewelry class hosted through Jeanne Oliver's site.  Loved that class and it seems

to have created a monster!!  I can't stop making these necklace/wraps!  I think I've made close to 20 of them in the past month or so.

Some are in a local gift shop which thrills me because I seem to be addicted to the acquisition of beads lately. . .

What have you been up to these days??

Stop thinking so much. . .

We've gotten a lot of snow in the past few days here in KY.  In fact, yesterday was declared a State of Emergency by the governor.  School was cancelled for Caleb from Wednesday - Friday and we've been hunkered in the house as a family for the past couple of days.  The board games have been dug out, goofy television has been watched and there has been a lot of laughter.  Snow days ARE good days!

But I think I touched it.

I used masking tape in my journal while painting these flowers and was so excited to see if it worked that I removed the tape too soon!  Then I spent the next several layers having to be careful not to go outside my crisp edges.
NOTE TO SELF:  Leave the tape until finished with the page!

Pam Garrison inspired...

Pam Garrison has a class on Creativebug called Creative Sketching.  These are my exercises from Part 1.  Neither of them look much like Pam's - apparently, I am too structured and uptight for that.  LOL
It was fun using lots of colors and pen work - I prefer the one that is more earth colored - probably because it is the calmer one.  I do love my neutrals. . .
