What CAN'T you color with a Copic??!!

I just got a cute new blouse the other day and I wanted to wear it on Saturday - ALAS! No green sandals could be found in my closet - But wait - there IS a pair of greenish/taupey sandals - Copic Airbrush System to the rescue!!
Used a little YG03 Yellow Green and now my shoes match my blouse!!

Obviously these are not the clearest photos (I was running out of air when I airbrushed the first shoe too). Now they are perfectly matched Olive Green - That's the wonder of Copics - they aren't just for touching up roots in between hair coloring - they are good for shoes - AND even for coloring pictures!!

A Musing Flora

The ladies and I had fun at the A Musing Flora class on Wednesday - 06/17/09. We finally made the flowerpot card (with the beautiful new A Muse gingham papers) that Janie has been so patiently waiting for and Sue came even though she had broken her arm!! Now that's a woman!!

Sneak Peek - A Musing Flora

This is a really simple card - too simple for Corey - he doesn't like it. Oh well, you can't win them all! There is a stripe of glitter above and below the green panel that you can see better IRL - adds a pretty sparkle.
Did you see who is saying, "Hello"? I LOVE this little grasshopper - it is the only one I love though - I hate them in my yard!!

Ink - Momento Rich Cocoa

Sneak Peek - A Musing Flora

I am teaching the A Musing Flora class this Wednesday and this is one of my favorite cards of the bunch - I took an A Muse 4b Chiffon Yellow card and trimmed it down to 3 1/4" x 4 3/4". I punched through the entire notecard and backed it with a 3 1/2" x 5" piece of black cardstock. I stamped my Hydrangea on white and colored with my Koh-i-noor pencils then outlined with my Y11 Copic marker.
I really like a card that looks pretty from the inside AND the outside! I bought this Hydrangea stamp last year in Seattle - such a pretty little stamp!!
Stamps - 2-4082B Hydrangea, 8-8537D You are the friend
Ink - Momento Dye Ink in Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves
Paper - A Muse 4b notecard in Chiffon Yellow, black and white cardstock
Accessories - Koh-i-noor pencils, square punches, Copic marker

Sympathy Card -

Unfortunately, this week I needed to make some sympathy cards - these are very difficult to stamp for obvious reasons - I immediately remembered the beautiful card I'd seen on Krystie Lee Hersch's blog earlier this week - I really enjoy her blog - her style is so clean and crisp. I flat out copied her card.
By adhering the butterfly (Martha Stewart punch) just in the middle you can lift the wings for a little 3-d effect. The crystals draw your eye to the butterfly even if the wings get squished down in the envelope.
Be sure and check out Krystie Lee's blog!!

Class Treats

Caleb is 7 (nearly 8) and very picky about class treats now - he doesn't want to look like a "baby" so he was very specific in what I could NOT do with his end of the year treats. NO patterned paper, NO clear bags with a topper, NO animals, NOTHING cute!! What is a mom to do? Well, the new A Muse summer release came in handy cause what could be possibly offensive about the sun?? I still think they are cute but don't tell Caleb!
Caleb's job was to put the candy in the bags - Helps to have the right headgear to get in the mood, right??

I am so relieved that Connor just wants me to make a cake for his class - that should be fairly harmless - hopefully -
Stamps - A Muse 2-4148C Sun, 9-8332B Summer Fun, 3-pscsm Personal Stationery Set, 7-PDLSM Polka Dot Lower Case Small (alphabet)
Ink - Tangelo Momento Ink, Tempting Turquoise from SU!
Accessories - Small paper bags (bought on clearance a few years ago from Hobby Lobby - can't seem to find those anywhere now!!), clothespins, Scalloped circle punch from SU!
