Acrylic fun -

I had seen on someone's blog once embossed clear cardstock - I decided to see if I could emboss the acrylic that Kim carries at the store. This stuff is thick!! I held my breath to see if it would work and it did!! I was so excited. I made the clear 2-4-6-8 box first - The acrylic is so stiff that it squished the chocolates a little. If I were to make more of these I think I'd make the dimensions a little larger. Then I thought I'd make an acrylic card to go with the notebook I'd made last week. I was so pleased with how it turned out! The swiss dots were perfect with this simple look. I've made transparency cards before but the acrylic is much more sturdy!

Sneak Peak - Donald Buckle Card

This is one of the 5 cards we will be making in the A Musing Winter Greetings class!! It looks deceptively simple on the front but once you open it and see how the buckle works you'll love it even more! It is so fun - each time someone picks it up they open and close it several times! I learned how to make a similar card when I was in Seattle for Instructor Training in November! Donald is teamed up with the snowflake embossing folder which adds lots of fun texture to the card front. Hope to see you in class!
Stamps - A Muse 2-2134C Donald, 3-2043C Simple Snowflake, 9-8248B Just Saying Hello

Altered Notebook

This is a little notebook that you can buy at Target -
These make the greatest little gifts - so quick and easy to make too! I colored the flowers with my new Spica markers. They are so pretty and shimmery! It is hard to capture how sparkly this is - I tried to take a pic at an angle to show the shimmer a little better (try clicking on it and you will see what I mean).
